The visit will cover the history and background of the Class 185 Fleet and includes an introduction to the Ardwick Traincare facility. There will be a tour of the facility explaining the operations and train movements and planning through a typical 24 hour period. The main capabilities of the facility will be shown including the vehicle lifting jacks, bogie drops and wheel lathe. There will be a chance to look at some of the major vehicle equipment “off-vehicle” and have a walk-through a unit.
