Advances in aircraft technologies affecting design, materials, systems and maintenance philosophies have reaped significant improvements in aircraft efficiency, reliability and safety. The biggest challenge remains to be the human being, with its unpredictability, unreliability and multiple failure modes.
Designers, planners and maintainers have all attempted to accommodate the human in different ways, with some success.
This event will explore the challenge of engineering the defences against human error.
This hybrid seminar involves a morning session of presentations and an afternoon of workshops to consider how the human affects airworthiness.
