Overview

During day one, key figures from Government and industry will provide an insight into current policy, legislation and funding issues as well as explaining how the technical, regulatory, safety and environmental challenges of CCS are being addressed across the industry. The day will conclude with an overview of projects being conducted around the world.  Keynote speaker Charles Hendry MP, Minister of State, Department of Energy & Climate Change.

On the second day, a series of case studies, based upon practical experience of the technical and operational challenges of developing CCS projects across the world, will be presented. These will cover the entire CCS chain through capture, transport and storage. Finally there will be an update on key developments in CCS Capture Processes.

Day One: 13 October 2010

  • Afternoon Session: CCS Project Finance and Incentives
  • An evening Drinks Reception will allow further time for networking outside of the breaks provided during the day

Day Two: 14 October 2010
