Safety cases are central to the safe management of nuclear facilities and their regulation. Their preparation represents a significant cost to the design and operation at a time when cost reduction is a key driver within the changing environment of the industry.
The seminar will provide attendees with an appreciation of the essential elements of achieving safety cases that are suitable and sufficient for their purpose of enabling safe facility management whilst also satisfying the regulator.
It will enable practioners to exchange views and share best practice and will bring together the various stakeholders with an interest in nuclear safety cases and assist them in reaching a shared understanding of the issues and their resolution.
