Overview
Thank you to all our fabulous sponsors and guests who helped make an amazing £4,523.50 for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Attended by around 500 engineers, graduates, senior management teams and CEOs from all areas of the engineering community, the Midlands Engineering Dinner provides an exceptional networking opportunity, an excellent way to thank and celebrate your staff or simply an enjoyable way to entertain clients and colleagues.
The organising committee is dedicated to building the dinner into the premier engineering event in the Midlands, providing a platform for engineers to be seen and heard.
The function is a joint event organised by local committee members from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The two Institutions have a combined total membership of 200,000 worldwide and some 20,000 across the Midlands. Our Members work in all sectors of Science, Engineering and Technology.
The evening’s format is one of a business-style networking event, run by engineers for engineers and the business community. The overall aim of the dinner is to raise the profile of the engineering profession, and to ensure that the region is aware of the vital economic contribution made by the engineering community.
Those attending the dinner are representatives from major businesses across the Midlands. Many see the dinner as an ideal form of corporate hospitality, some find it an invaluable networking opportunity and others look at it simply as an enjoyable social event.
Since 2004 the event has grown in profile and prestige. The function is now one of the most sought after on the business and social calendar and regularly sells out within a matter of weeks.
The event is supported by a number of valued sponsors that provide their financial support and commitment to the event. The sponsors play a prominent part in proceedings, and their support is acknowledged at the event.
