Overview
"A great place to be if you are interested in Simulation and Modelling." Airbus Operations Ltd.
"A truly engaging event with rich exchanges and sharing between all attendees from very diverse backgrounds, industries, universities and more." Drax Group
The IMechE’s Simulation and Modelling Conference captures the challenges and trends impacting the modelling, analysis and simulation needs of engineers, academics and research bodies currently working to improve product design, engineering and manufacturing processes.
The digital workplace has a large part to play in the effectiveness and efficiency of a wide number of engineering applications. Whether it be the optimisation of existing routes to production and analysis, the pursuit of improved sustainability or rethinking the time-consuming and cost-intensive world of physical testing, simulation and modelling enables the effective management and development of assets.
As drives to improve sustainability and cost-efficiency create increasingly complex demands on design, the importance of data accuracy and testing only increases. To expand to meet the needs of delegates, the Simulation and Modelling conference 2023 will explore areas relating to AI and machine learning, simulation and sustainability, digital twinning and regulation and standardisation.
KEY TOPICS FOR 2023:
- Design optimisation and validation
- Digital twin status and innovation
- Sustainable engineering and the inclusion of modelling
- Regulation and standardisation: Simulation, modelling and the future of virtual engineering
- Understanding the place of machine learning in engineering and manufacturing processes
- Assessing model validity
- Simulation and Physical testing: Effective collaborative working
