Ian McConnell: Programmes & Transformation Director, ScotRail Alliance
Ian McConnell is ScotRail’s new Programmes & Transformation Director, responsible for the delivery of major transformation projects.
This includes managing:
- The introduction of ScotRail’s new Hitachi trains
- Several of the company’s biggest infrastructure programmes
- Improvements at stations across Scotland
- The roll-out of smart and integrated ticketing
Previously, Ian worked with Abellio as the ScotRail Mobilisation Director, and before that he was Abellio’s Director of Projects & Planning.
Graeme Campbell: New Trains Project Manager, ScotRail Alliance
Graeme Campbell is a Chartered Engineer with 16 years’ experience in the rail industry. He started as an Engineering Apprentice at ScotRail and also had a spell with Siemens Rail Systems where he was responsible for Reliability & Performance of the Class 380 fleet. In July 2015 Graeme took up the role of New Trains Project Manager HST where he is responsible for the HST Fleet Introduction. He is accountable for project budget control, development of maintenance readiness plan and maintenance strategy, management of pre-service overhaul program and production and management the operational preparedness plan.
Paul Newlove: Senior Project Engineer, Hitachi Rail Europe
Paul Newlove is an electrical engineer with over 18 years’ experience in the rail industry. He joined the rail industry with Alstom and spent many years at their manufacturing facility in Birmingham, before switching to focus on fleet engineering with Virgin Trains. Paul spent a number of years overseas where he gained extensive new train design experience leading the electrical integration on the new Warrtha trains for Sydney and more recently advising MTR in Hong Kong. Paul is currently leading the design team at Hitachi Rail Europe, delivering the new AT-200 train for ScotRail’s flagship Edinburgh to Glasgow route.
