Overview
IMechE’s Fossil Power Committee is pleased to announce that it is organising the second two-day Conventional Power Boiler User Group meeting.
Although Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGTs), and therefore Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), have taken a large role in the electricity generation industry over the past decade, conventional boilers (‘power boilers’ in US terminology) still play a major part in providing generating capacity.
The Conventional Power Boiler User Group is the ideal place to discuss the issues regarding this plant. The event format will encourage open debate and problem solving, using informal presentations and discussion forums, to facilitate networking and sharing of experience among the conventional power boiler community.
The user group will address issues relating to all aspects of the design, operation and maintenance of conventional boilers, including inspection, integrity, reliability, efficiency, and safety requirements.
The full event programme can be viewed by following the 'Download brochure' link on the left of this page.
Online booking is available by following the 'Book/Register Now' link at the top of this page. Alternatively, there is a registration form on the last page of the event brochure which can be completed and returned to us by fax/ post or email.
