Isabel Hadley: Technical Authority, Integrity Management, TWI Ltd.

Isabel Hadley joined TWI in 1992 after higher education at Cambridge and Sheffield universities and working in the nuclear, offshore and steel industries. Isabel’s current technical work focuses on the development of analytical flaw assessment techniques, and their application to safety-critical structures and pressure equipment. She is Chair of the committee that develops and maintains BS 7910 (UK flaw assessment procedure), a member of the R6 (UK nuclear assessment procedure) panel and co-author of the European FITNET fitness-for-service procedure. In 2016 she assumed the additional role of Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Integrity Management at the University of Bristol.

Peter Langenberg: Chairman, IWT-Solutions AG

Peter Langenberg studied Metallurgy and Material Science at RWTH Aachen, Germany. He was a European Welding Engineer in 1992 and gained his PHD in 1995 at RWTH Aachen on application of fracture mechanics to old riveted bridges. He founded the IWT-consultant company in 1997 and IWT projects Ltd in 2008 and of IWT-Solutions AG in 2005. He has been the convener of WG 52 working group and Subgroup Low Temperature within CEN TC 54, and has been responsible for EN 13445-part 2 since 2002.

Geoff Evans: Segment Engineering Technical Authority, Static Mechanical, BP Exploration & Production Company Limited

Geoff Evans is the Segment Engineering Technical Authority (SETA) for the Static Mechanical discipline within BP’s upstream business. He is accountable for the global leadership of the Static Mechanical discipline, to realize BP’s goal of safe, reliable and compliant operations and to build in-house, world class engineering capability. The discipline comprises of 300 engineers working in projects and operations around the world. Geoff has 30 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer predominantly in the Oil and Gas industry. He is responsible for the BP ETP’s for pressure systems and is a BP representative on ASME, ISO and EEMUA piping committee. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

David Glass: Principal Specialist Inspector, HSE

David Glass is the Principal Specialist Inspector with HSE, and head of a team of professional Mechanical Engineers within the Chemical, Explosives and Microbiological Hazards Division, a team responsible for managing research, informing policy and pursuing the strategic topic of Ageing Plant. In addition, David and the team inspect at various hazardous installations throughout the UK, taking a view on duty holder arrangements for initial and ongoing integrity, maintenance and other mechanical engineering issues. Prior to joining HSE, David worked in the chemical industry at locations in the UK and USA.

Duncan Kingan: Mechanical Engineer, BP Exploration & Production Company Limited

Duncan Kingan is a Mechanical Engineer working across Forties Pipelines System and Sullom Voe Terminal as part of BP Exploration and Production.  He has worked predominantly in operations and central engineering roles covering Static Mechanical Discipline Engineering and Rotating Equipment roles.

Azrul Hilmi: Integrity Management Consultant, DNV GL- Oil and Gas

Azrul Hilmi, a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, has been specialising in the Integrity Management of the Oil and Gas facilities for over 18 years. Azrul was the resident integrity engineer for five years at an LNG producing plant where he implemented integrity management strategies to ensure the safe operation of the facility. He joined DNV GL in 2006 and since then, he has helped LNG operators in the UK and various sites around the world to implement integrity management strategies for their assets. Azrul has developed an in-depth knowledge of the integrity threats and aging mechanisms related to LNG operations.

Stuart Williams: Applications Equipment Manager, Air Products Plc

Stuart Williams joined Air Products in 1997 working in R&D on cryogenic applications. Subsequently he joined Air Products European Customer Engineering support team providing technical assistance and guidance to European engineering teams responsible for installing and maintaining cryogenic storage tanks and vaporisation systems on customer sites. Stuart also sits on the European Industrial Gases Association working group for cryogenic vessels and has participated in global harmonisation projects with the American Compressed Gas Association on Prevention of Brittle Fracture and Prevention of Overpressure in Cryogenic Storage Systems.
