Railway Division Young Members Christmas Technical Forum: Engineering Challenges posed by Infrastructure Upgrades

Overview

In today’s modern railway system, projects are tasked with not only overcoming engineering challenges as part of major infrastructure works, but also doing so in such a way that minimises disruption to the operational railway. 

The 2016 Young Member’s Christmas Technical Forum will explore various examples of how this has been tackled by recent upgrade works, ranging from innovative construction methodologies to the use of innovative engineering products & systems.

The event will be run by the IMechE Rail Division Young Members (RDYM) Committee, who invite those of all ages those to attend this insightful evening into how engineering projects tackle these challenges.
