Building upon his previous lecture in 2014 where Dr Davis
outlined the global drivers for increasingly Intelligent and Connected Vehicles
and the impact they may have on urban transportation, in this forthcoming
lecture Dr Davis will outline the latest trends in Connected and Autonomous
Vehicles highlighting the disruption the emergence of this technology is having
and the challenges that we face as Automotive engineers. He will also outline
the role the UK is having in this fast moving segment and how we as a nation
are ensuring that we will play a key part in this fast moving and global disruptive

Dr Geoff Davis: Chief Strategy Officer, HORIBA MIRA
Dr Geoff Davis joined MIRA in 2009 as
an experienced engineering consultancy professional with a solid grounding in engineering
fundamentals. He has up-to-date knowledge of the latest automotive technologies
and trends and has first-hand experience of working across a comprehensive
range of overseas territories and industry sectors.
During his time at MIRA and
subsequently HORIBA MIRA, Dr Davis has overseen the development of the
company’s technical and R&D strategy, and has recently accelerated the
organisation’s plans and capability in the field of ADAS and Intelligent &
Connected Vehicles (ICAV) through the implementation of the company’s latest
technology growth strategy.
