Silvia Boschetto: Director/Founder, Silvakey
Silvia is an Italian/Australian who moved to the UK in 1995 to work as an engineer. In 2009, Silvia joined the Institution of Mechanical Engineers as a chartered engineer and Fellow. She was recently Chair, Diversity and Equality steering group (EDSG, IMechE). Her career has included; research into alternative fuels; design and production of power systems, for excavators, cars, submarines and buildings; and programmes/businesses in biomass, hydrogen fuel cells and on/offshore wind. She has lead teams and projects in UK, US, EU, China, Australia, West Africa and Ethiopia. Silvia provides technical and commercial advice on organisational development and commercialising research and technology. In 2014 she led a feasibility project for The Daphne Jackson Trust/Department of Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) on assisting engineers to return, or transition back, to engineering.
