Overview
All chilled products including food and pharmaceuticals spend part of their life in cold storage rooms. These typically consume considerable amounts of energy however, recent work has shown that typically energy savings of on average 30% are achievable.
This is through cost effective options which include:
• Optimisation of the refrigeration system
• Better operational practices
• Upgrading to more efficient equipment and components
Refrigeration is one of the most energy-intensive technologies used in the food supply chain and accounts for about 35% of electricity consumption in the food industry.
The webinar will discuss these options and provide practical guidance and advice from experienced engineers on designing and implementing them.
