Noel Travers: Managing Director, Unipart
Noel joined BR as an Engineering Management Trainee In 1988 and was sponsored through his Mechanical Engineering degree. Since then he has also obtained an MSc in Rail Systems Engineering.
He held various engineering/commercial posts in Chiltern Railways, Intercity West Coast, Freightliner, GATX Capital and RBS.
After several roles at Bombardier Transportation from 2008, his final role was Interim Chairman and UK MD. He left in 2016 to become Deputy MD at Unipart Rail, replacing the retiring MD in early 2017.
A Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Noel sits on its Railway Division Board. He is married with a teenage son.
