Overview
The lecture will chart the history and products of Bentley
Motors since its founding by Walter Owen Bentley in 1919; “to build a fast car,
a good car, the best in its class”; through the Le Mans’ successes of the
1920’s; right up to the present day under the ownership of Volkswagen AG as
the world’s leading luxury car brand. This will culminate in an overview of the
stunning all new third generation Continental GT.

Paul Jones: Director of Product Management, Bentley Motors Limited
Paul is currently Director of Product Management at Bentley Motors Limited, a position he has held since 2010, with responsibility for all future Bentley Product Strategy & Planning.
Since joining Bentley in 2000, he has held a range of posts, including Chief Programme Engineer for the first generation Continental GT and Product Line Director for the Continental GT & Flying Spur models.
He has over 30 years of experience in the UK automotive industry, in vehicle development and programme management; including the passenger car, heavy truck and bus sectors.
Paul holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Engineer; Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and past Chairman of the North West Centre of the Automobile Division.
