Overview
Metallic 3D printing, also called Additive Manufacturing (AM), has made the leap from rapid prototyping to a recognized production method for aerospace. It offers several advantages which can now be used for industrial production at the highest level. The webinar will include a brief overview of the technology and demonstrate examples for the additive manufacturing of innovative aircraft components, pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing technology. The webinar will talk about some of the misconceptions about Additive Manufacturing and try to provide a basic understanding of the technical and economic factors which dictate the successful application of different AM technologies.
