Overview
The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has pulled together a
comprehensive range of topics of appeal to a broad audience for its 2020 annual
conference. The conference brings professionals together from the compressed
gases industry, to be updated on the latest developments, current issues and
association news. Our full programme reviews the BCGA Technical Committees
publications and achievements, along with other key note speakers presenting
on industry matters. Attending the Conference offers delegates; whether
member or non-member, the annual opportunity to network with like-minded
people.
Bookings are now being taken for the event, taking place in Manchester on Thursday,
April 23, at The Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Worsley Park.
Year-on-year, the conference attracts significant interest and organisers are urging
those with an interest in attending to book soon to avoid disappointment.
The event, which is supported by Gasworld, brings together a wide variety of
speakers, covering different areas of the industry including modified atmosphere
packaging gases, food and plastics and a helium market update.
Insight into the transportation of goods from the Department for Transport is also
included – and the conference concludes with keynote speaker Colin Maclachlan, a
former SAS soldier with over 25 years of security and risk related experiences, who
has appeared on Channel 4's SAS: 'Who Dares Wins' and Channel 5's 'Secrets of
the SAS.'
Mr Thornton said: “We are looking forward to an insightful and informative
conference in Manchester 2020.
“The event continues to go from strength-to-strength, with excellent feedback from
delegates.
“The BCGA conference committee has once again put together a highly-engaging
and interesting event, of broad appeal to those in the gas industry and related
sectors. We strongly urge people to book their place as soon as possible, to ensure they are guaranteed a place.”
This is also the final conference for Doug Thornton, as retiring Chief Executive of BCGA, and a chance to meet his successor, Ellen Daniels.
