Overview
Climate change will affect many engineering-based sectors including energy, manufacturing, the built environment and infrastructure to mention a few. For example, the energy sector will be impacted from disruption of energy supply to changes in heating and cooling requirements and across manufacturing supply chains will potentially be disrupted and there will be changes in the availability of eco-systems services. Shifts in temperature and rainfall patterns will impact materials.
The webinar will introduce the first international standard on resilience to climate change, ISO 14090 Adaptation to climate change: Principles, requirements and guidelines. The standards, which were developed by the BSI, offer a flexible way to make a plan that is consistent, replicable and verifiable to identify impacts and prioritise actions to ensure resilience. Join this webinar to find out more about this UK-led standard and what’s inside ISO 14090 and how ISO 14090 can be used to create a resilient business now and into the future. Our webinar presenter, John Dora, will connect this to real life using his extensive experience in the field of adaptation to climate change.
