Hybrid Event, One Birdcage Walk and Online
Free and open to all
Overview
Each year, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ Railway Division holds a competition of technical presentations. The competition is open to all young railway engineers including apprentices, undergraduates and those in the early stages of their career.
The winners of the seven regional heats come together to present to a panel of judges and other attendees in a competition format at the home of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in the heart of Westminster. Competing for a prize of £1000, the seven presentations give a fascinating insight to work going on within the Rail Industry across the country, by talented engineers, who are the Future of Rail.
Winners at each regional competition will compete at the 2023 Young Engineers’ Presentation Competition Final at the Institution’s headquarters in London on 15 May 2023 for the £1,000 first prize.
Doors open at 18:30 for a 19:00 start.
