Overview
The Alastair Graham-Bryce Memorial Lecture is an annual evening event presented by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Manufacturing Industries Division (MID).
This year’s lecture will be given by incoming MID board member Peter Lunt, Industrial Eco Designer, Airbus.
Have you ever wondered about the environmental impact of making things? Join Peter as he discusses a sustainable approach to manufacturing, and how this contributes to the IMechE's mission of improving the world through engineering. Presentation followed by a panel discussion.
The event is free to attend, and scheduled between the close of Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit, and the start of The Manufacturer MX Awards Ceremony.

Peter Lunt: Industrial Eco Designer, Airbus
Peter is Industrial Eco Designer at Airbus, based at the Airbus wing manufacturing plant in Broughton, North Wales. In his role, Peter is responsible for supporting manufacturing engineers across the company, helping them to design the industrial systems which build Airbus aircraft in a way which supports Airbus' challenging environmental ambitions. Peter is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the IMechE, chairing the Sustainable Manufacturing subgroup as part of the Manufacturing Industries Division. Peter has 20 years experience in aerospace manufacturing, and more than 15 years experience helping Airbus to reduce the environmental impact of its manufacturing operations.
