Gain direct experience in Hitachi's working depot, speak to maintainers of a high speed fleet of trains and learn from cross-industry examples with Monarch Airlines.
Hitachi are now providing the new IEP trains based on the Javelin Stock, so this technical visit will allow you to engage with the maintenance issues of rolling stock provided by a key supplier to the UK railway industry. The maintenance issues and changes that have been made since the introduction of the stock will be outlined, broadening your knowledge of how this aspect of the industry is working.
Cross-industry learning with Monarch Airlines:
As well as visiting Hitachi Rail, the technical visit will take you to Monarch Airlines HQ in Luton, in order to showcase how the aerospace industry functions and what can be transferred to the rail sector.
