Please note before you proceed to make a booking, please be aware that online bookings can only be made for yourself and payment made by card only. If you would like to book on behalf of somebody else, or would like to purchase multiple tickets, please refer to the ‘Booking Form’ option below. 

There are two ways to make a booking:

Online – You can register your attendance online via our website by creating an online account on www.imeche.org (if you don’t already have one).

Booking Form – Alternatively, if you are booking on behalf of somebody else, would like multiple tickets or if you would like to pay via invoice/BACS/cheque, please download and complete a booking form (one per person) and return it to us at eventenquiries@imeche.org to reserve your place.

Before placing your booking, please ensure your details are up to date by visiting www.imeche.org/myaccount.

Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend any Institution of Mechanical Engineers event unless otherwise stated. Only members of the Institution are eligible for the member rate.

Supporting organisations are relevant professional bodies who have agreed to support the event. A list of these organisations is available on the individual event page.

If you are a member of any of the listed supporting organisations on the event page you wish to attend, you will be eligible for the ‘Member, Supporting Organisation’ ticket rate.

The student rate is only available to students studying full-time.

Yes. Group bookings of 5 or more delegates may be eligible for a reduced rate.

To make a group booking, please download and complete a booking form (one per person) or contact Event Enquiries to find out if you are eligible for a discount.

IMechE Member – If you are an IMechE member, you will be able to log into your online account using your Membership Number (8-digit number) or the email address you used to register your membership.

Non-member – Alternatively, if you are not a member and do not have an account already, you can create a new online account.

If you have forgotten your password, please click the ‘Forgotten password’ link. A new password will be generated and emailed over to you. Please check your junk/spam folder.

You will be able to log in and update the password to your preferred one via the link provided in the email.

If you are still experiencing issues with logging in, please contact our Subscriptions Team via email at subscriptions@imeche.org or phone +44 (0)1952 214 050.

If you would like to apply a discount code to your booking, please complete and return a booking form to eventenquiries@imeche.org, stating the discount code. Unfortunately, you will not be able to apply the discount code to any online bookings.

Credit card – pay online using your personal or company credit card. If you are submitting a booking form, please provide contact details on the payment information section of the form, and we can get in touch to arrange payment. 

Please do not include your credit card details on any written communication.

BACS – please complete a booking form and return to eventenquiries@imeche.org indicating a BACS payment in the payment details section. Further details will be provided to you on receipt of your booking.

Invoice – please complete a booking form and return with your purchase order number (if available) to eventenquiries@imeche.org.

Yes. If you book for an event online, you will receive a receipt automatically. If you are making your booking via a booking form, please indicate you would like to receive a VAT receipt in the payment details section of the form.

International delegates must pay the VAT charged on the invoice but it may be possible to recover this amount if the fee is being paid by a business. For further information, please visit one of the following links:

An event ticket will not be required. We will send joining instructions prior to the event date to advise registration details.

The joining instructions will be emailed directly to you approximately one week prior to the event date. This will include all the registration, venue, accommodation and contact information that you will need for the day.

Yes. If you can no longer attend an event and would like to send an alternative delegate in your place, please submit the changes in writing to eventenquiries@imeche.org.

We require the name of the delegate who is no longer attending and the following details of the replacement delegate: Full name, job title, company, email address and IMechE membership number (if applicable).

Please note there is no charge for changes to delegates unless you are changing from a member to a non-member, in which case the difference will need to be paid.

Cancellations must be received at least 30 days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. Cancellations will incur a £25 + VAT cancellation fee. Replacement delegates are welcome at any time. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us to discuss your options.

Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate wheelchair users and persons with other disabilities.

If you would like to gain access to copies of proceedings of a conference or seminar, please contact the Event Enquiries team for more information regarding which proceedings we have available and the cost to purchase.

Please note that for reasons beyond the organiser’s control, copies of proceedings are not always available.

The web access link to our webinars will be emailed directly to you approximately 48 hours prior the broadcast. You can also access the recordings of our past webinars by visiting the Auditorium. New webinars will added approximately 7 days after they have taken place.

Unfortunately we do not currently have the resources to record our lectures. We are looking into ways we can do this, and we are including more webinars on our event schedules as we understand that people are not always able to make it to our live events.
