Learn to Win 2023

Overview

Learn to Win is the first date in the diary that kickstarts the new Formula Student season and brings together the event organisers, head judges, partners and teams to discuss the year ahead and will take place on 4 November 2022 as a hybrid event.

Whether you are involved in team management, design, fabrication, scrutineering or testing, or competing in Formula Student Class, Concept Class or FS-AI, attending Learn To Win will give you crucial insights into what the judges are looking for and how to improve every aspect of your team's entry.

Places for your team are available on a first-come, first serve basis - be sure to book early to secure your team to join us at Learn to Win 2023!

CAN'T GET TO THE MTC? JOIN ONLINE :

• Access the livestream of the main hall and all the presentations in the morning and afternoon.
• Book 1-2-1 sessions with judges across all main areas of the competition and get the advice and guidance you need.

WHY YOUR TEAM NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED:

• Get clarifications on the rules direct from the organisers and judges involved
• Receive feedback on the areas of the competition most important to your 2023 campaign
• Help new members get up to speed so they can hit the ground running
• Find out what you need to do to be an effective team leader or head of an engineering aspect of your car
• FS-AI teams: get everything you need to get started and develop to your own autonomous vehicle
• Power up: identify and address all the key challenges with your electric vehicle, including HV/LV lines, accumulator design, safety systems and much more 
• Bring your faculty advisor so they can understand how best to support your team and maximise your entry in 2023 

COVID-19 GUIDANCE FOR ATTENDEES:

The Institution takes every endeavour to operate all our events as “COVID-safe” as possible. This includes additional preventative measures, such as cleaning rotas and air ventilation. For further information on our activities in this area, view our infection control solutions webpages.

NOTE: Maximum capacity in Room 8 is 32 pax. and you will have been allocated your workshop sessions and been informed of which ones you are able to attend via email.

Various locations at the MTC and via MS Teams for online delegates

These sessions will be arranged with the lead contact for your booking and scheduled for you. You will receive confirmation of timings for all of your 1:1 sessions. Online delegates will receive MS Teams meeting invitations for all sessions.

NOTE: For both in-person and online delegates we request that you send no more than 3 team members to each 1:1 session, in order to make the most of your time.

Judges and Officials reserve the right to strictly enforce this for delegates attending in-person in order to adhere to venue room capacities.

Online delegates may have more team members listening in to the MS Teams sessions, but we request that you have a maximum of 3 people interacting with the Judge / Official.

Please note: Joining instructions with MS Teams links will be sent out by Wednesday 2 November. if you do not receive your MS Teams meeting emails by then, please do not wait until the day of Learn to Win 2023 to tell us; kindly let us know in plenty of time so we can resend these to you and you won't miss your sessions.
