Overview
Each year, the Young Engineers and Apprentices Railway Seminar (YEARS) provides those new to the rail industry with valuable insights into the current developments of the industry. YEARS also provides an opportunity to network with peers from across the industry and foster a more collaborative approach to solving problems in the future. As an event aimed at early careers, YEARS can provide an excellent opportunity for young rail engineers and apprentices to meet in person, fully engage with others from the railway family and kick-start their career in rail.
The concept of Integrated Travel is something which is being explored globally in a multi-stakeholder focus on providing a seamless end to end journey for consumers. Exploring how rail integrates and collaborates with other modes of travel including bus and tram networks and local transport hubs, there is also a focus on how data and remote monitoring can be used to improve these services.
Innovation is always at the forefront of YEARS, and integrated travel embraces innovation and a new collaborative way of thinking about rail.
