Overview
Join this webinar in January to hear a detailed overview of Automated Fibre Placement technologies, supported by insights from robotics projects at the European Space Agency and the Advanced Composites Centre in Bristol.
This webinar will cover:
- Modular Heads: An introduction into the function of the modular head / end effector, including considerations for part application such as the type and geometry of the material deposited, number and width of tows and the implications of those parameters in a production environment.
-
Machine Volumetric Compensation: A summary of the advanced kinematics models used to improve the global accuracy of an AFP system and the implications on tow placement tolerances.
-
Integrated laser inspection: How the integrated laser system works and how it can be used for part inspection, identification of tow placement, lost tows due to process issues.
-
Program Simulation: How to simulate programs using software to ensure that part programs are as efficient as possible and that it is possible to lay up parts in the way that is intended.
