Overview
Each year, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ Railway Division holds a competition of technical presentations. The competition is open to all young railway engineers including apprentices, undergraduates and those in the early stages of their career. Entrants will present to a panel of judges and other attendees in a competition format at the home of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in the heart of Westminster.
Winners of the regional heats will compete for a prize of £1000 at the National Final taking place on 8 May 2025 at One Birdcage Walk, London. The winning presentations will give a fascinating insight to work going on within the Rail Industry across the country, by talented engineers, who are the Future of Rail.
