Overview
This year's online Thomas Lowe Gray lecture will cover the key design parameters, design constraints, manufacturing constraints of a 12MW Offshore Wind Turbine – the world’s most powerful Offshore Wind Turbine.
The giant turbine that presenter Marc Sala is helping bring to market, the Haliade-X, will stand 260 meters tall, about the same height as New York’s iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza skyscraper. Marc will be articulating some of the structural loads that tower, blade, drive train and foundation need to withstand. Marc will also cover information on the novel generator and the scale of its components.
This online lecture is free to watch, book your place via this website to join.
