When you do public engagement (talk or interactive session), the audience will remember how they felt – not necessarily what you said. Therefore, how you deliver your message is just as important as what you say. Join this session for top tips on inspiring your audience.
1230 – 1300 – STEM Toolkit – Ball Run
You will need:
• 20 Small/medium elastic bands
• 14 Wooden dowels
• 16 Bulldog clips
• Whitetack /Blutack
• 10 paper straws
• 6 cotton reels
• 1 ping pong ball
Alexandra Knight: Founder, STEMazing Ltd
Alex is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE with over 15 years’ experience of working in Industry. She is the Founder of Stemazing – a social enterprise dedicated to inspiration and inclusion in STEM. Alex is passionate about supporting others in STEM to shine as confident, visible role models and inspire our future generations of innovators and problem-solvers. She is also a Visiting Professor with the Royal Academy of Engineering at Brunel University London and a Trustee on the Board of the Women’s Engineering Society. Alex won the We Are The City Champions Award in 2020 for her work to champion diversity and inclusion in STEM.
