Overview
A substantial allocation of resources and associated costs are required during the initial design phase. It is imperative to ensure precision and diligence as any mistakes may result in escalated expenditures in terms of time and finances.
A reliable design can only be formulated if engineers and manufacturers have a secure understanding of the component users' needs, maintenance requirements and lifecycle expectancy. The process should be considered as an iterative process to ensure that engineers are feeding back into the design stage. This conference will use case studies to highlight how engineers can feed into the design to increase reliability and reduce maintenance.
Building on the success of previous events, this year’s event will explore designing for reliability and its relevance across an array of industries such as nuclear, wind, aerospace, rail, oil and gas, and more.
Using case studies from a range of organisations with distinct budgets, this event aims to point the way forward in facilitating user-led design to reduce costs, optimise resource and inform maintenance strategy. The event will examine the potential threats to reliability, encompassing environmental influences, emerging technologies, novel materials, storage management, and issues of obsolescence. It will target established engineers who must adjust their methods to incorporate reliability into their projects.
The reliability of assets underpins the efficiency and profitability of organisations across industries. Within the principles of asset management there is a continual drive to decrease cost and reduce waste materials. Most companies are faced with a decision between meeting project deadlines and reducing costs short term or increasing initial investment and extending delivery time. Designing for reliability and maintainability represent the critical factors in this decision-making process.
Join the Asset Management 2024 conference to:
- Gain insight into how to achieve an optimal level of reliability and maintainability in cross sector asset management
- Comprehend the importance of considering reliability from the early design stages
- Attendees will leave with an understanding of how reliability is achieved, managed, and demonstrated in production and operation
- Opportunities for networking with other industries and sharing experiences
- Learn how to effectively and efficiently manage your systems, products, and equipment to maintain reliability
